Ada, MI - March 10, 2008 - Fulton Innovation (Fulton), which introduced eCoupled™ intelligent wireless power, has announced that it will be hosting the 2nd Annual Interoperability Technology Summit on March 13, 2008 at Alticor’s World Headquarters in Ada, Michigan. The goal of the summit is to exchange ideas and conduct information downloads that will allow for wireless power interoperability for devices and infrastructures across brands and environments worldwide.

How eCoupled Technology Works

eCoupled technology includes an inductively coupled power circuit that dynamically seeks resonance, allowing the primary supply circuit to adapt its operation to match the needs of the devices it supplies. It does so by communicating with each device individually in real time, which allows the technology to determine not only power needs, but also factors such as the age of a battery or device and its charging lifecycles, in order to supply the optimal amount of power to keep a device at peak efficiency.

Through its identification protocol, eCoupled technology has the ability to authenticate any eCoupledenabled device within range. If a device or object is not recognized immediately, the primary coil will NOT turn on and supply power to the device, maintaining a safe environment.
